FORCHEM MP 150 2S – industrial crate and parts washer with two drying modules

The FORCHEM MP 150 2S is a configurable industrial tunnel washer with two drying modules. Beyond crates and KLT containers, it can be engineered for washing and subsequent drying of pallets, industrial trays, blister inserts, production components and other returnable packaging. The term 'crate washer' describes a common application, not a restriction.

Washing and drying tunnels, conveyors, nozzle arrangement and handling are specified for the actual items. See our tunnel washers and automation options.

The FORCHEM MP 150 2S is a modular industrial tunnel washing system with two drying modules. It is intended for continuous washing of suitably transported items and for reducing residual moisture after rinsing. Two drying stages provide additional process configuration options where the condition of items leaving the washer is important for the next production step.

Configurable for crates, KLT, pallets, trays, blisters and parts

The MP 150 2S is not limited to standard 600 × 400 mm EURO crates. The tunnel dimensions, conveying system, item orientation, spray nozzles and drying arrangements can be engineered for the materials and items to be processed.

  • Crates and KLT containers: standard or non-standard returnable industrial packaging.
  • Pallets: tunnel opening and conveyors suited to pallet size, material and handling requirements.
  • Industrial trays and blister inserts: suitable orientation and draining, with drying airflow reaching recesses where needed.
  • Manufactured parts: fixtures and positioning that allow washing and drying media to reach the required surfaces.

Two drying modules and optional system integration

Washing, rinsing and the two drying stages are specified according to item geometry, contamination, required cleanliness and permissible residual moisture. Two modules do not guarantee that every item will be completely dry. Recessed, hollow or complex parts require application-specific assessment or trials to confirm the drying result.

Depending on the project, the system can be designed with an open or enclosed return conveyor and integrated with production handling. In addition to electric heating, a boiler connection or heat recovery unit may be considered. Actual energy savings depend on the final design and operating conditions.

Choosing between MP 150, MP 150S and MP 150 2S

Where drying is not required, consider the FORCHEM MP 150. The MP 150S includes one drying module; the MP 150 2S includes two and offers further flexibility when drying requirements are more demanding. The most suitable model depends on the downstream process and required throughput.

The technical table describes the configuration shown. Throughput, overall dimensions and consumption may differ for a custom build. Send us the dimensions, material and photos of the items, contamination details, required hourly throughput and drying targets so we can assess your application.
