Industrial washing automation for crates and parts
Industrial washing automation
Automated loading and washing of crates and parts
FORCHEM industrial washing automation connects washing equipment with the handling of crates, KLT containers, returnable packaging or production parts. Depending on the application, the system may incorporate conveyors, robotic arms and positioning or gripping fixtures. The aim is to match the flow of items through the washer to the operating process.
Which process steps can be automated?
- Loading and unloading: feeding and removing crates or parts according to their size and weight.
- Item orientation: guiding and positioning items for spray access, drainage and safe handling.
- Process integration: connecting conveyors, washing zones, optional drying and downstream workstations.
- Controls and safety: coordinating movements, sensors and protective devices for the specific line.
Automation does not automatically increase throughput or shorten the washing cycle. Actual capacity depends on the items, contamination, contact time, line takt and available space. We therefore assess integration separately for tunnel washers and cabinet washers.
To discuss a project, provide item dimensions and photos, required items per hour, details of the existing line, and any cleanliness or drying requirements. Explore our washing equipment or request an automation feasibility assessment.
Benefits of automated washing
Robots or conveyors may load and unload crates as specified for the line. Operator supervision and manual intervention requirements depend on the application and safety design.
Controlled feeding can support a steady flow of crates and reduce manual handling. Actual throughput also depends on wash time and the items being cleaned.
Access to the washing area, conveyors and service points matters for routine cleaning and maintenance. Details vary by machine configuration.
