Industrial washers for crates, returnable packaging and parts
Industrial crate and parts washing equipment
Crate and parts cleaning matched to your operation
FORCHEM industrial washing equipment is designed for crates, returnable packaging, containers and production parts. These systems are used in food processing, logistics and manufacturing where items must be cleaned before reuse.
Tunnel washers may suit continuous, repetitive flows, while cabinet washers can be an option for smaller batches or varied components. Selection depends on dimensions, material, contamination and required throughput; no one machine is suitable for every item.
We consider nozzle positioning, handling and the washing and rinsing configuration. Where required, drying or production-line integration can also be assessed. Explore our equipment range or send your technical requirements.
Returnable packaging and KLT container washing
KLT container and returnable packaging washing
KLT containers are reused for transporting and storing parts. Their external dimensions alone do not determine washing requirements: ribs, recesses, bases and water-drainage points all affect cleaning and rinsing. We therefore assess each container type and its actual contamination before proposing equipment.
What matters when specifying KLT washing?
- Geometry and material: size, ribs, openings and material influence positioning and nozzle access.
- Contamination: dust, grease or process residues may require different settings and detergents.
- Required throughput: pieces per hour or shift help determine continuous or batch washing.
- Rinsing and drying: drainage and optional drying depend on the container design and subsequent handling.
For recurring KLT batches, tunnel washers may be a starting point. For smaller or mixed batches we can also assess cabinet systems. Pallets, trays and blister inserts require a separate technical feasibility assessment; suitability is not universal.
Need a proposal? Send dimensions, photos, contamination details and target throughput. We will review the information before recommending a solution.
FORCHEM – over 30 years of industrial washing experience
FORCHEM designs and supplies industrial washing equipment for returnable packaging, crates and production components. Our track record includes 400+ installations, 30+ years of experience and equipment operating in 12 countries.
Every project begins with the dimensions, contamination, target throughput and handling requirements. We can assess tunnel technology, cabinet systems or automation, depending on the application.

Automotive industry FORCHEM industrial washer functions
Washing, rinsing, handling and optional drying, specified for the chosen equipment.
Washing, rinsing and optional drying
Washing and rinsing are configured as consecutive process steps. Drying may be added when required by the selected system. Temperature, pressure and cycle time depend on the item, its material and contamination.
Clear controls and easier operator training
Controls and programs are configured for the selected machine. A clear interface supports setup and daily operation, while training requirements depend on the machine and site procedures.
Drying helps reduce residual moisture
An optional drying module can remove part of the water remaining after rinsing and reduce manual finishing. The result depends on part geometry, material and positioning; complete dryness must be verified for the application.
Washing pressure matched to the surface
Nozzle layout, pressure and cleaning method are selected according to the surface and contamination. For delicate materials or coatings, compatibility and the result should be checked with a washing trial before specifying the process.
Modular process zones and options
The design can combine washing, rinsing and other process zones, including optional drying, according to the task. Whether equipment can be expanded later depends on the specific model and its original specification.
Technical advice and service arrangements
We help with equipment selection, process setup and maintenance requirements. Diagnostics, spare parts and on-site service are arranged according to installation location, machine type and technician availability.
Advantages of FORCHEM solutions
Eight practical aspects considered when designing industrial washing equipment.
Thoughtful use of water and energy
We consider water, energy and detergent consumption during process design. Depending on the system, filtration, process-water reuse or heat recovery may be assessed. Actual savings depend on operating conditions.
Safety considered in every design
Safety measures are selected according to the intended use and risks of the machine. Depending on configuration, these may include door interlocks, sensors and other protective devices.
A solution matched to your actual task
We start by reviewing the items to be cleaned, target cleanliness and operating process. That information helps us select equipment and options rather than propose one universal configuration.
Investment matched to the required setup
We assess the necessary functions, throughput, utilities and maintenance needs. The aim is to specify an appropriate system without unnecessary options; total cost depends on the application.
Designed for reliable operation
Machine design considers operating loads, access to critical parts and planned maintenance. Actual uptime also depends on operating conditions and maintenance practices.
Maintenance considered in the design
Access to pumps, filters and other service points is considered during design. The placement and number of service openings depend on the machine model and equipment.
Clear everyday operation
Accessible controls and configured programs support daily operation. Available features and interface languages are confirmed for each machine configuration.
Flexible part-handling options
Depending on the shape and weight of the items, baskets, fixtures, conveyors and other handling options can be assessed. Rotation and positioning capabilities depend on the chosen equipment.
